For the 2024 CASS Blitz, two ports network with the following topics:

  • 1. Two-Port Network Parameters
    • Overview: Introduces the concept of two-port networks, focusing on different types of parameters used to characterize them (Z, Y, H, G, S parameters).
  • 2. Impedance Parameters (Z-parameters)
    • Overview: Focuses on impedance parameters that relate voltages and currents at the ports.
  • 3. Admittance Parameters (Y-parameters)
    • Overview: Covers admittance parameters, which are the inverse of impedance parameters
  • 4. Hybrid Parameters (H-parameters)
    • Overview: Discusses hybrid parameters used in transistor amplifiers.
  • 5. Transmission Parameters (ABCD-parameters)
    • Overview: Explores ABCD parameters, also known as transmission parameters, typically used in transmission lines.
  • 6. Scattering Parameters (S-parameters)
    • Overview: Focuses on scattering parameters commonly used in RF and microwave systems.
  • 7. Interconversion of Two-Port Parameters
    • Overview: Details the process of converting between different two-port parameters.
  • 8. Applications of Two-Port Networks
    • Overview: Discusses practical applications of two-port networks, such as filters, amplifiers, and transmission lines.
